Chain Nail

Barry M - Bright Pink, Models Own - Beth's Blue, Lilac Dream, Peach Sorbet & Lemon Meringue. Models Own nail art pen in black.
      1. Apply 2 coats of pink nail polish & let dry.
2. Carefully using a tiny amount of polish on the brush apply a chain design to your nail, this can wind any way you like.
3. With a steady hand outline the chain links with black nail art pen, leave to dry & then top coat.
This was inspired by a  Lazy Oaf Dress I recently saw in their LookBook. I really like how this turned out. You could start with any colour base and do any colour chain links, maybe normal gold or silver would look cool too. This one is kind of tricky and you do need a steady hand. But a little bit of time and patience will pay off!! Hope you like it, email me pic of any nail art you have tried from my tutorials please! I'd love to see! :)

Next to the Chocolate Factory

On friday I assisted another shoot with mizz in London. We had a very early start,  but such a fun day and a great location. The shoot was at a place called Lumiere Studios which was next to the Mernier Chocolate  Factory. It was a great studio, very big and spacious and the views from the windows were really nice too. Trains going into London Bridge station actually go straight past the window. It was such a cool place to be. Thought I'd share a few of the pics as I know you all like to see pics from shoots and stuff.  This time the shoot was for reader makeovers and model competition winners. We had some laavly clothes on the shoot with us, and Roller skates!! HELLO! How much does that green shirt remind you of the new studded Dr. Martens? Loveee it!  Hope you like the photos which are all taken by me. Happy Monday!

Rose Glasses

Sunglasses - Primark £1 (Old)
Resin Rose Cabochons (40)  - £2.25 Ebay

Im loving all the D&G inspired floral and embellished sunglasses that are around at the moment. I already own wayyy too many pairs of sunglasses so I thought I'd DIY a pair myself. I love the shape and size of these, but I hadent worn them for agesss so I thought I'd upgrate them!! To start with I superglued the roses in place and afterwards I used a tiny paint brush and some pva glue to carefully fill in all the gaps and seal it all together. So theyre double glued and very secure. The only tip I could really give you for this simple DIY, is to start from the middle. That way you can correspond the colours on each side if you want to, and youll know youre going to fill each side equally! I love how they turned out, sooo cute. I have soo many roses left over still so I might add a few to the corners of a black pair too!! What do you think of this diy?? will you be customising your own sunglasses?

A Trio Of Brushes..

 MUA E7 Eyebrow Brush - £1.50
MUA E1 Eyeshadow Brush - £1.95
MUA F6 Blusher & Contouring Brush - £3
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder - £2

I'd more than slightly gone off MUA after that whole 50% thing and their conduct during - being a bit off. I didnt even try to order anything during that offer after the things I read on facebook. But anywayyy a few weeks have passed and when I saw a status saying they'd restocked their brushes, I thought I'd get myself a few more as I do really like their brushes and they're a great price and even wash up extremely well...And again contrary to things I've heard, my purchases arrived within 3 days using standard postage.
The Eyebrow Brush - I doubt I'll actually use for my brows, The angle on it is great and it'll be perfect for applying eyeshadow to my lower lash line. If you read my blog regularly you'll know I got some Sleek palettes for my birthday and I had them in mind when I picked this brush, the black eyeshadows in the Bad Girl palette are soo good and intense theyre great for lining eyes too. So this brush will be the perfect tool for doing so.
The Eyeshadow Brush - I just thought would be worth a try , I have a couple of MAC ones which I love but they have short handles..(is handle the right word?) But yeh, I just thought for £1.95 even if its no good I can still use it for nail polish clean ups etc!!
Blusher and Contouring brush - I bought this on the intention of it being as good a quality as the powder brush and it really is. Again I have a contour brush but its smaller and also from MAC with a short handle. So I thought I'd upgrade myself, And also it'll be good to use along with the highlighter powder I bought. The highlighter is usually £3 but as its new out its on offer, I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I use the Sleek contour kit and I always find the highlighter runs out faster than the contour, and the kit actually contains a smaller amount of highlighter. In my mind this shouldn't be the case as you never need to use as much of the dark product but hey ho!! So this highlighter will be my stop gap while I use up the rest of my contour powder :) I'd definitely say if you can get over MUA not always being the most professional of company's, their brushes are definitely worth a try and wont cost you the earth!! Have you tried any of the MUA brushes or the new Undress Your Skin collection?

Confetti me.

Models Own Lilac Dream , Models Own Pro Jade-anna , Models Own Lemon Meringue, Barry M Bright pink, Models Own Beth's Blue, L'oreal Colour Riche Confetti.

I just thought I'd show you the new Loreal Confetti nail polish I picked up the other day! Okayyyy so its not Illamasqua, but you can create a similar effect and choose the colours you want to use. So you definitely get much more for your money!! You should definitely grab yourself this and for £4.99 its not a bad price. I like the fact that the pieces in this are round, and there are no rectangular or square bits, as sometimes they dont sit right on the nail and they lift up and chip!! Will you be buying this nail polish??? Have a good weekend beautifuls!

Big Pimpin'

MONEY Oxblood Velvet Creepers - Topshop £7
Spike Headband - Topshop £1.50
Louise Gray Peacock Sequins - Topshop £1
L'oreal Colour Riche Confetti - £4.99
Oxblood Varsity Jacket - New Look £19.99

First of all could these velvet creepers be the best buy bargain of the century? Well maybe of the year so far anyway! £7 is just despicable! I adore them, the way they're a mixture of teddyboy, granny chic and Snoop Dogg - P.I.M.P circa 2003!! They look so cute with with black ankle grazer jeans and sweaters! Perfect for worky! My new varsity jacket matches them pretty well in colour and its sooo soft and snuggly I love it. I used to have a blue one with grey sleeves but I got lily pollen on it one day at my nans so it was binned soon after hahaha! This also looks super cute with ankle grazers!! More little bits from Topshop and L'oreal Confetti which is soooo  nice! I'll show you that in another post but youve probably already seen it! Sooo wearable and its a cheaper alternative to Illamasqua - without breaking the bank, as it can be worn over any nail polish colour you choose! There are soooo many nice bits out in the shops right now and the fact the 90's vibe is soo on trend is like heaven to me, I cant get enough of it. To all the people doing spending bans...I salute you! Have you been buying anything similar recently? Happy Valentines all of you!

BADGiRL

Sleek Divine The Primer Palette - £7.99* (HERE)
Sleek i-Divine Bad Girl Palette - £7.99* (HERE)

I got these bits for my birthday, and Sleek Makeup is my No.2 favourite brand! The Primer palette is soo good! Basically you apply the appropriate colour primer and the 12 colours in this palette are workable with all of the sleek i-Divine eyeshadow palettes. I find Sleeks pigmentation's are amazing anyway so with the primers they're even better! I didn't even know this palette existed so it was a nice surprise and definitely practical aswell! The Bad Girl Palette - I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!! The colours transfer so amazingly, usually when trying to create a smokey eye you need to prime and add quite a few layers of black eyeshadow to build up the intensity. The 2 blacks in this palette are amazing, I couldn't believe how strongly the colours went on. The FOTD pic is just an example of a look created with the bad girl palette. I'd say if you're into smokey eyes and dark eye make up this is a palette you have to try! The quality of the eyeshadows is amazing, I just use my finger tips to apply the colour and you can tell just by the touch how good they are, they feel silky and not grainy or powdery whatsoever! Trust me, you should definitely try this. Have you tried any of these Sleek products?

Scale Art

Revlon Brilliant Strength - 030, Models Own- Beths Blue, 17 - Holographic, Models Own -Mystic Mauve, No7 - Totally Teal, Black Models Own nail art pen.
1. Apply a metallic blue base coat and let dry.
2. Using your make up sponge stipple on patches of blues, lilacs, silvers and greens ( preferably metallic also)
3. Using a black nail art pen draw on loops to create your scale effect. Let dry & top coat.
I loveee how this turned out, and people definitely recognise what it is as soon as they see it. Got lots of comments on this design and I love how it glistens and reflects different colours in different lights. You could definitely go for a different colour scheme maybe more pinks or golds and beiges. Dont forget to send me pics if you try this out!! :) Have a lovely weekend gorgeous people!

Stud you like.

120 Silver 12mm Studs - £6.99 Ebay
Oversized Denim Waistcoat - £5 NewLook

What have I been doing?? More DIY haha. And this one hurt my mitts, but was worth it. I picked up this oversized sleeveless denim jacket in New Look last week for £5, I couldnt leave it there for that much! I love it, its so good to throw on over pretty much anything! I was debating leaving it plain but then I thought, I'd definitely love it even more if its was dripping with studs! So I got myself some from ebay and eagerly awaited their arrival, as soon as they came through the door I set myself up with a coffee and some music and started studding! Less than an hour later this was the result!! Im soooo happy with it! and I still have some studs left over. This cost me less than £12 to make and I'll definitely be getting more than £12's wear out of it! What do you think? Will you be studding any denim this season?
