Pretty Pastels

 Pastel Bag - £6 Primark
Necklaces - Both NewLook £9.99
Ribbon Frill Socks - 3 for £8 Topshop

Its happened again!! I've been shopping and I've gone for Pastels.. The Ribbon Frill socks are the best frilly socks I've ever had. I also have the white pair and they actually look and stay frilly when you wear them, unlike some of the other types that have the lace frill which by the time you've put them on , don't look very frilly at all....Unless you have ankles like tooth picks...I DONT! So If you're looking for the perfect pastel frilly socks, get yourself some of these! The main focus of this post for me is to show you this dreamyyy bag, I was shmoozing around lakeside last week and found this in Primark...URGH!!!!! Its amazing, obviously the hardware on this bag is silver...and I'm normally strictly gold in everything, but I couldnt leave this beauty there. Its only small but would be perfect for a camera or just for a cute bag for summer festivals! It also came in two other colours, one was Black & White and the other was Orange I think but to be honest I zoned in on this and then didn't really care about anything else. Also more necklaces - shame on me, I love the chunky mint chain!! Have you been buying anything similar recently?

April Be Mine?

Oversized Brushed Sweater - £28 Riverisland // Twiggy Frame Sunglasses - £168 Wildfox Couture //  Pink Lemonade Candle - £12 Flamingo // Princess Gem Necklace - £19.99 New Look // Pale Pink Satchel - £28 Riverisland // Mint Lace Up Platform Boots - £60 Shellys // Pastel Ribbon Socks - 3 for £8 Topshop

Although I'm getting very into pastels I'm still struggling to believe we may soon be in the midst of a heatwave. I feel like we didn't have Winter at all so I'm still wearing as many sweaters and jumpers as I can :) The Shellys boots are an absolute dream I've been in love with them since the first time I laid eyes on them, which was quite a while ago now! The satchel as you might remember from my recent haul post I already have the pale blue version and people literally do not stop commenting on it and asking me where its from! I think I might persuade myself to pick up the pink version at some point too as it is sooo nice. I'm after the perfect pair of round framed sunglasses and I think these Wildfox ones might be them!! They're gorgeous but wayyy more than I plan on spending haha!! Although I'm generally more into plain chunky gold jewellery I have definitely become more drawn to pieces that are a little more girly and sparkly and this necklace is one of them, I saw it in store when I was in Liverpool but they only had one and the cord was a bit grubby - boooo :( !! Is there anything similar on your April wishlist?

Sugar Apple & Rose Hip

Barry M Gelly Shine  Sugar Apple & Rose Hip 2for£6 Superdrug

I want to start by saying these two polishes are by far my favourite of the moment. I have pretty much all of the Gelly Shine collection and love them, especially the shade Lychee (If you havent tried it and are into nude/beige nails you should definitely grab it). Recently Barry M released 3 new Gelly Shine shades, two I have - Sugar Apple & Rose Hip, and one other being Huckleberry . These two colours couldnt be more perfect for the season, candy yummy pastels, with the same quality of the original Gelly Shine Polishes!! I know Boots and Superdrug always have deals on so if I can get a 3for2 next time I'm passing I'm going to get Huckleberry and repurchase both these shades again!! There are sooo many things you can do with these two colours aswell - above classic leopard print, which people don't stop complimenting!! Next I think I'll use the pink as the base colour for a fruity inspired nail art, or maybe use them both to do an ombre!? I didn't actually see any sort of promotion or advertising for the new shades before they were released, I just spied them from across the store when I walked! These are a definite must-have!! Will you be buying these new Gelly Shine colours? Do you have them already?

New In; Freedom

 Palm Tree Chain - Gift**
Double Chain Purse - £8 Sale
Green Gem Ring - £2.50 Sale
Lion Studs - £5.50 Sale

Hola, Hola!! Its just been payday and Topshop have launched their mid season sale. I popped in just for a little look and couldn't believe the Lion Earrings were in the sale. As you would have seen from my previous posts I really like the lion head jewellery that is out at the moment and these earrings match my necklace from Claire's perfectly. They're also the much larger version of my much loved KUKEE lion head earrings .  These were originally £10 which I do think is probably more towards the reasonably priced items that Topshop sell but I didn't get them when I first saw them, which was back in January! Now £5.50?!? Definitely cant say no to that!! The same scenario with the double zip purse, I wanted to get it to match the quilted bag I got around my Birthday (which actually broke and was replaced TWICE - then I gave up and got something different). The purse originally being £14 I thought nah its too much for something thats made of polyurethane...So was super happy when I got the last one in the shop for £8!! I thought the ring was cute, I do tend to buy rings and then not wear them but I'm going to make a conscious effort to start wearing them more as I just got some cute midi rings from New Look too! Lastly the Palm Tree chain, what a banger! This was actually a present , lucky me ay!? ... I think its around £16.50 though and I know there are matching earrings which are really cool...The palm trees remind me of GoGo Malibu 1992 which my boy actually got me the bracelet of for my Birthday - I LOVE! Have you been bought anything in the Topshop Mid Season Sale?

angelica Nail Colour

L-R; Think Pink, Keylime Pie, Poker Face,Polka Dot C/O angelica Nail Colour

If you know me and know my blog, you know that I'm obsessed with nail polish & nail art. When angelica said they'd send me a preview of their latest collection , I was more than excited. Angelica
Nail Colour was launched in 2011 and is currently available at over 80 Primark and Penneys stores throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as their online store www.angelicanails.co.uk.
These nail colours are great quality with a huge range of colours, of which new shades are launched every 6 weeks and limited edition shades launched in between. The nail colours are sold online for £2.75 & around £2.50 in store at Primark. In all honesty despite never trying angelica previously , I always looked at their colours in Primark & one of my best friends always uses them. Now I have tried them I will definitely pick up some of their polishes in the future, and I know for a fact they've got some beautiful pastels out at the moment which I might have to get my mitts on.
Angelica sent me four gorgeous shades, my favourite of these  is the Polka Dot Top Coat! It looks perfect on its own & over a nail colour (amazing over a pale pink). Its also absolutely perfect for the monochrome trend this season. I've also tried the pink out already and its sooo nice!! These polishes have a great shine on their own, but I always use a Top Coat anyway which gives extra shine & helps make them chip resistant. If there's one of these that I would insist you should try its the Polka Dot, its so versatile and perfect for this season not to mention affordable!! Have you tried angelica nail colour? Do you reccomend any shades for me to try?

SILK

Barry M Silk Collection - £3.99 Each Boots

When I saw these nail polishes new in my local Boots and on offer 3for2 I hastily picked them up by colour, I didn't actually read what they were about I just loved the colours so bought them. On using them I realised they're actually a matte finish...which is fine if you like that on your nails but I don't personally really like it. The name Silk to me would imply a glossy shiny finish...and Satins are usually more of a matte finish so maybe the name satin might have been a bit more appropriate haha!! The colours themselves I absolutely love and they have a slight shimmer and pearl likeness to them...to be honest despite what I have moaned about above...these colours are great...and one easy and quick solution is of course...to topcoat it!! Which is what I've been doing...and these are definitely perfect colours for this season...I don't know if I would go out of my way to buy these again, but they are nice!! Have you tried them? p.s The whole matching Buddha thing was just a happy coincidence... They're from Urban Outfitters. Have a good week beautifuls!

March is here,  more lovely things I feel like I need - but more realistically that I want :) I'm really falling for pastels and pale tones right now!! This would look sooo hottt as an outfit and everything on its own is equally as nice :) The boots come in grey and in black too... to be honest the black ones are absolutely smoking and probably far more practical in terms of wear-ability. I've got some holiday to use up at work by April so next week I'm off, I'm going to Liverpool  for a few of my days off to visit my cousins...which ultimately means a girly shopping day is in order!! I can not wait to hit Liverpool ONE!!!!!! Hopefully a little bit of wishlist fulfillment will be happening! Is there anything similar on your wishlist?? Whats your favourite piece??

Spring Fling

Pastel Satchel - £22 (discount) RI via ASOS
White Cut Out Shoes - £35 RI via ASOS
Jumper, 2 Shirts & Textured Tee - All New Look around £17.99 Each
Monochrome Boyfriend Coat - New Look £13
Chain Ankle Courts - New Look £5
Lion Chain - Claires £8
Black Oversized Knit Sweater - £13 ish H&M

The suns been shining a little bit recently but essentially the weather is still miserable and cold. The shops are filling up with pastels and brights and there are a few mid season sales starting to kick off. Its the perfect time to have a little shop around! Im not a fan of anything sleeveless so when Spring creeps in I like to try and pick up nice bits that will be good for summer. The spotty shirt is my fave - a boxy oversized short sleeve shirt and its soooo cute! Im thinking jeans and all white AF1's , probably teamed with the blue bag which by the way I'm sooo in love with - It even feels nice to touch hahaha!! I wasn't going to buy any more coats but I saw this one online in the sale for £13 and bought it because its a bargain and I had previously been eyeing it up! The chain strap shoes were a mega steal reduced from £24.99 which I actually found in store...They're not amazingly comfortable as Im used to always wearing something with a platform but I just thought they were way too cool and chic to pass up for £5...Especially considering this style of shoe is going to be big this season. The Lion necklace I already own a smaller version which I bought for something like £2 from ebay last year and wear alot, I want to wear them both together so the Claires one sits underneath the small one :) So in summary I'm trying to incorporate some pastels into my mainly black wardrobe..which  I think I've done well as a jumping off point from looking at this haul! And I'm really enjoying oversized shirts & knits are you??!  Have you been buying anything similar recently?

IN THE BUFF

 W7 IN THE BUFF - £5.99 Ebay

Say hello to my new go-to neutral palette, this has become my new holy grail. Urban Decay Naked palettes are much loved and sort after but I have never taken the plunge, except in buying the Naked Basics palette which is very good but only includes 6 which are all matte. This palette is a very close match for the Naked 2 palette which costs around £37 around 6x the price of this...I couldn't be more impressed with it. The shadows are  great quality, apply easily and softly and the colours are well pigmented. I already hope W7 bring out another one in replica of Naked 3 which looks completely amazing. Its not to say I begrudge spending money on high end beauty products because I spend alot of money on brands like MAC, but something has always held me back from spending nearly £40 on an eyeshadow palette...Maybe it was my subconscious telling me to hold on for this!! IN THE BUFF contains 12 neutral toned eye shadows with a mix of matte and shimmer finish. It even comes with a brush, one end being a brush and one a sponge applicator , which I have been using along with a mac blending brush. I literally dont have a bad word to say about this product. I havent swatched this because sometimes I think its kind of a waste of time as my skintone is different to most of yours so you should just try it for yourself. The colours honestly apply as they look in the palette. I highlyyyy recommend you get yourself one of these palettes as soon as possible!!
Have you tried this?? Do you have an alternative Naked dupe???

Gun Fingers

Models Own Hyper Gels ; Cornflower Blue, Pink Veneer & Turquoise Gloss

I expressed to you my love for these Hyper Gels already in my previous post, the quality is great and if you love the Barry M Gelly Shines then these Models Own equivalents are definitely for you .
First up Cornflower Blue..The name gives this a pretty accurate description of what the colour is like, this would be a great base colour for a floral design like daisies or Cath Kidston type chintz. I put a gun on mine...just because I wanted to and thought it looked quite cool, I've been doing guns on my index fingers quite alot recently - naughty I know. I used a black nail art pen to draw on the silhouette of a gun and then used a gold nail art pen just do draw a line horizontally down the gun just to highlight.
Pink Veneer , Im sooo in love with this colour, as you know I ordered another bottle with my second order. It looks sooo beautiful on its own, its the perfect springy pink. This would also be a good base for a floral and definitely a great base for a fruity nail art, the fruit trend is set to be back this season and these would match some of the cute accessories already becoming available in the shops! again I used nail art pens, I applied the white, then the yellow, let dry and then outlined using black. Its not much work and doesn't have to be tooo fiddly.
Turquoise Gloss is very similar to the Barry M Greenberry Gelly Shine, which was one of my favourites from that collection. Its again a very Spring ready shade and lovely worn on its own. Another great way to use this is for mermaid inspired nails. They're super easy to do and the result is always sooo nice. One coat of Turquoise Gloss, stippled over with patches of Cornflower Blue & a light coat of holographic glitter, then scales drawn over the top with a white nail art pen. Its that easy!!
Have you been using the Models Own Hyper Gels for any nail art? Which is your favourite colour and nail art?

Also a winner has been picked from my Giveaway randomly via the rafflecopter, I had hoped to do this sooner over the weekend but I'm really poorly with a yucky flu bug, trust me when you get it it wont be pretty. Thankyou to all of you who entered, the winner is Georgina Callen from www.magpieobsessions.co.uk Hope you all have a good week and stay away from the Flu!!

Fiddy Percent

Firstly let me start this post by saying... If you didn't shop the Models Own 50% Sale...Why???!!!! Its one of the most exciting things to happen to me so far this year hahahaha!! I made my first order on the Wednesday morning , the first day of the sale. I was quite hasty and didn't really think it through too much but if you've shopped their sale, then you fully understand where I am coming from.
The very next say the package arrived at my door and I was ridiculously excited and very impressed with the super speedy delivery! In the first order I got: Hyper Gels - White Light, Cornflower Gleam & Pink Veneer. Models Own Pink Blush, Black Magic x2, Black Nail art pen & an eye shadow contour brush. If you're wondering why I got 2 Blacks...Its because Models Own black is the BEST Black nail polish I've ever used, and I've sampled quite a few! I was so so excited to try the Models Own Hyper Gels, after loving Barry M Gelly Shines so much. I put Pink Veneer on my nails straight away and fell in love with it. Its the perfect pastel pink and I know sooo many people will absolutely love it , especially for the upcoming season. White Light also is amazing, I put some on my toes and was sooo impressed with the application. I love White nails but struggle so much to find a brand that gives good coverage, application  and doesn't take hours to dry! Hyper Gel - White Light.. has done the job perfectly, honestly if you haven't got it - you need to get it. So on the Thursday night after work, I was looking at my already purchased polishes and remembered I'd forgotten to get BlooBoo and that I'd a week before smashed one of my favourites - Northern Lights. So I put in another order, I got; Northern Lights, BlooBoo,HyperGels- Pink Veneer & Turquoise Gloss and a White nail art pen. Just to clarify Pink Veneer is honestly THAT good that I took the opportunity to buy a reserve, so I don't have to be with out it. I'm quite impressed with my colour choices as its all very springy and sugary! To get allllll of this for the combined price of  £33  for both orders...I couldn't be happier! I've got some nail art ideas in mind and I think I'll review a few of the colours, so look out for those! I adore the Hyper Gel collection, which colours have you tried?!! Did you buy anything in the 50% Sale??

Agent Zero Shine

the POREfessional , Agent Zero Shine - £23.50* Benefit

I got this as one of my Birthday Gifts from my Mumma, Its only been on sale since Boxing Day and I was dying to try it since it was released! I like alot of you have tried POREfessional Primer and really liked what it did for my skin & makeup, although my only hang up with POREfessional Primer was that due to the nature of the product I did sometimes feel like my skin was suffocating when I wore it. I've been using this for around 2 weeks now and I'm really happy with the results. I usually just use the Rimmel Stay Matte translucent pressed powder, which isn't amazing but it definitely works well for a cheap everyday option. I don't want to be reliant on using  Agent Zero Shine everyday as it is more of a luxury product, but I thought I'd give it a good test drive and fair trial by using it everyday for a few weeks. It definitely does what it intended. I apply my make up as I normally do, tap some powder into the lid and then use the brush to lightly dust it over my face but making sure I pay attention to my T-zone. I never used to suffer with oily skin but as I've got older it has crept up on me. I suppose in some ways its better to have oily skin than dry skin...but its still a pain when you're dead set on matte looks like I am. This keeps shine at bay pretty much completely for probably 9 hours plus. It does say to reapply when needed but I don't get time to reapply when I'm at work and then when I'm home my make up comes straight off anyway! What I really like about this product is , when I apply it my make up instantly looks matte, and the powder is really silky and isn't heavy at all. I would definitely recommend this for those of you that have tried POREfessional Primer and liked the results that it gave. Have you tried Agent Zero Shine? Will you be repurchasing it?
