A little bit of Christmas

Loose apologies for the photo overload...

I can barely believe Christmas is over already, what with work, days out and the hustle and bustle of it all, its gone in the blink of an eye.. just under a year till the next one haha. I had a really lovely Christmas , good food, family & friends - perfect.  I got unbelievably spoilt this year, I literally couldn't have wished for more. I got shoes, boots, bags, make-up by the ton..lots of bath goodies, perfume and nail bits. My best present has to be my Canon Eos M, the newest addition to my Canon collection. Its going to be the perfect camera for days out, as its much lighter than my DSLR - but I kid you not , the quality is unbelievable. Its literally a mini DSLR and I'm completely blown away by it. I'll probably do a post on it to show you all what its like. As good a Christmas as I've had I'm holding on to the last of the days we have left of keeping the decorations up and pretending its still Christmas, I dont have too much planned for NYE as I'm working but I'll definitely be seeing the new year in with a Prosecco or two. Did you all have a good Christmas? Hope you all have a brilliant new year!!!

Sharpie Scales

Sharpie Metallic Marker - £6.99 Pack of 3 ( Bronze , Silver, Gold)

Whilst writing up some gift tags with my new metallic Sharpies ( by the way , they're a dreammm for christmas tags) , I remembered when I did a sugar Skull nail tutorial using the Glam 80's Sharpies. I wondered if these would have the same effect when used on nail polish - and they definitely do. I simply drew the mermaidy scale design over my already painted nails - which were 2 coats of Models Own Black Magic. I then used Sally Hansen Insta- Dri Topcoat to seal , and added on gold studs near the cuticles. This was just a quick idea that turned into nails that I  really love! If you're after easy festive nail art, you could definitely use a Gold or Silver Sharpie over White or Black nail polish to draw snowflakes or other cute Christmassy stuff!?!? Also I have to say I'm pretty proud of my water photo... Its inspired me to try out some different ideas too!!  What do you think of this design? Have you used Sharpies for nail art?

P.S less than 2 days til' Christmas- eeeeeeek!!  Wishing all my readers a Merry Christmas & don't forget to enter my Giveaway ending New Years Eve.

THE NEXT BIG THING

Soap & Glory The Next Big Thing (Limited Edition Hattie Stewart Design) - Boots Online

Its that time of year again!! Getting the Soap & Glory mega set has become a pinnacle tradition for me in December, and its something I look forward to every year! I've mentioned and reviewed Soap & Glory a lot throughout my blog and that's because their products in my opinion, are brilliant. This set contains 10 full sized products and ordinarily costs £60, but as you know when it hits Star Gift week at Boots its less than half price! £29 for all these goodies is just unbelievable! I ordered mine on Friday morning at around 6:30am when I got up for work, and I know it sold out very soon after! When ordering online this year, you received a different box to the one in store. I loved the design of both boxes but I guess its nicer to have one that is limited edition. To top off this whooper I didn't even pay cash for it, I used some of my saved up advantage card points - it couldn't really be any better!

THE NEXT BIG THING Contains:
THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER™ Body Butter 300ml, HAND DREAM™ Super Cream 100ml, ORANGEASM™ Body Wash 500ml, BUTTER YOURSELF™ Moisture Lotion 500ml, HEEL GENIUS™ Foot Cream 125ml, SUGAR CRUSH™ Body Scrub 300ml, WHIPPED CLEAN™ Shower Butter 250ml, SEXY MOTHER PUCKER™ Lip Lacquer in Charm Offensive 7ml, THICK & FAST™ Super Volume Mascara 10ml, OFF YOUR FACE™ 3 in 1 Daily Purifying Cloths (25 cloths), A branded drawstring bag.
If you were to buy all 10 products individually it would cost you £76! My favourite ever Soap & Glory product - The Righteous Butter , is £10.50 alone! Which sort of reflects how much of a great deal this is. I know the set is sold out online but give your local store a call and see if they have any left, as you really don't want to miss this!!

Lily X Coffee

Lily X Coffee Case for Iphone 5 -iconemesis

I was recently sent this amazing case from the lovely people at Iconemesis . I was in desperate need for a new phone case too - so the timing was perfect! I received the Lily X Coffee case, and as a coffee lover its absolutely perfect for me. The case is great quality and fits easily onto my phone, I'm used to the silicone type cases but I find they stretch and become loose on the phone which means using the camera is a nightmare. I'm definitely not going to have that problem with this one. I would definitely recommend Iconemesis for unique designs and brilliant quality phone cases. Have you tried Iconemesis? Which is your favourite design from their collections?

Christmas Wishlist..

Its here! Its December, Day 1 on the advent calender & 23 shopping days left till' the big day! This is my final wishlist of 2014.  The beautiful mega fluffy bag in the middle is definitely a dream item and my absolute favourite of this wishlist, but at £120 I doubt I'll ever own it haha, I may have been good this year - but definitely not that good. I think I might buy myself the New Look boots as they're a cute wearable boot for smart casual evenings out , as when its gets cold and icy heels can be a bit tricky but I think these would be quite safe and comfortable. I usually get a bottle of perfume or two from family at Christmas but I think I might try and get myself a bottle of Jimmy Choo Stars in the boxing day sales aswell - it smells beautiful!!
Is there anything similar on your Christmas Wishlist?

Lincoln & Cashmere

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark , OPI Rollin' In Cashmere - £3.99 Each TK Maxx

TK Maxx have done it again, I didn't really want to buy anymore nail polish, but when I saw these I thought they were too good to leave behind - especially as these colours are perfect for this season, and they'll be great for some festive nail art designs. I was in my local TK Maxx a few weeks ago and couldn't find anymore OPI , so assumed maybe the one I found before had been a one off - last week I popped back in and there were loadssss!! I limited myself to just the two colours but I definitely could have bought at least 3 more haha!
'LINCOLN PARK AFTER DARK'  -This is a super super dark purple/brown colour , although I know at first glance it looks black. Its very glossy and easy to apply, I think its quite a glamorous nail colour especially for party season.  'ROLLIN' IN CASHMERE' - This is a super fine metallic gold polish, easy to apply and quick drying too. I love this colour because its really luxurious, and when it drys it has almost a matte finish.
I cant wait to get to work on some festive fingertips with these two new colours in my collection. I'm literally waiting for the 30th November to be here so I can go Christmas crazy in all aspects of my life!
I'd definitely reccommend you get to your local TK Maxx soon as I dont think these polishes stay around for long at just £3.99 each!! Which of these two colours is your favourite? Have you bagged any Nail Polish bargains in TK Maxx recently?

Peppermint Swirls

Peppermint Swirls Yankee Candle - £16.99

A few years ago at Christmas I got myself a Candy Cane scented candle from TK Maxx and absolutely loved it, so bought a couple more and put one away for the following Christmas. Which was last year, and luckily I had as I couldn't find Candy Cane candles for love nor money last year! This year I decided to get on the hunt early and I found a few in Tkmaxx & Homesenses , so I bought them and squirrelled them away! I saw This Yankee Peppermint Swirls medium jar on Ebay for the yucky price of £33.65 + £15.03 p+p !!! Which I think is absolutely extortionate, so I typed the name in allover the Internet and couldn't track it down anywhere, as it would seem this is a very rare flavour from Yankee - not even available on their website would you believe? A few days later, I tried to find it again and gave up on the idea. But after typing in 'Peppermint Candle' I was directed to Clinton Cards website  - and there it was, exclusive to Clintons!!! To say I was happy , is an under statement. I ordered it straight away and it was delivered 2 days later :)
This is such a beautifully scented candle and is absolute perfection for the oncoming of Christmas. I contemplated waiting until the 1st of December to start burning it, but I just couldn't wait any longer. Its minty and sweet , but not overwhelming like some of the other Yankee Christmas candles (Last year I had 'Christmas Eve' and it literally gave me a migraine.) This candle is one of 6 various Candy Cane scented candles I have stockpiled to burn this winter, and I'd definitely recommend you get your mitts on this one, as its very rare and hard to find and oh sooooo lovely!! Im not a Yankee Candle nutter, like a lot of Bloggers are, but of the ones I have tried - this is my favourite! Whats your favourite Winter/Christmas Candle? Any reccommendations for me?
